Who am I?

Hi, I'm Dan Walsh. I like doing projects. Here is a very minimal website that I use to host some of my projects. This is a download link. Here I've got a photo of me posing at UCSB--where I went to college--with a number of cormorants. In fact, UCSB was home not only to cormorants, or "courmies", as we used to affectionately call them, but a rich host of other bird species to feast your eyes upon. The campus lagoon was often laden with stocky waterfowl; the Black-Crowned Night-Heron would be preparing to lunge with its beak to spear an unsuspecting fish, while a puddling of mallards, along with a chain of ducklings would waddle through areas of high foot-traffic. Hummers would buzz back and forth in the air to collect small flying insects with their small, pointed beaks, and would emit a pleasured sequence of beeps upon their success.
